We were
approached by a chain of bridalwear outlets to
recommend and install air conditioning into
their flagship store at the Lakeside Centre in
Essex.
There were two
problem areas within the store. The dressing
room where the “brides to be” are fitted with
their dresses, is by necessity, very well lit
with halogen lighting. This adds about 4kW of
unwanted heat into the room.
We Installed
an LG LT-E2462HL 6.8kW ceiling cassette to cool
and heat the dressing room. The wallmounted
remote control is located in the staff area to
the rear of the store.
The second
area causing a problem was the office/workshop
area on the top floor of the store. This room
was picking up high heat gains from the metal
roof, which acts like a large radiator.
The
installation of one wallmounted LG LS-1860HL
5.3kW cooling & heating system has now solved
the problem.
The external
condensing units are located on the centre’s
roof.
This
installation was carried out in compliance with
the regulations set down by the centre’s
management team. We supplied our health and
safety, risk assessment and method statement
documentation all of which were accepted by the
centre management.
The
installation was completed in two full working
days.
