This IT
classroom is a single storey building with a
flat roof that tends to suffer from an excessive
heat build up from solar gain.
The classroom
has 23 computers, which are generating some
4.6kW of additional heat into the room. This
heat is making the pupils uncomfortable and
reduces their levels of enthusiasm and more
importantly their attention spans.
Our brief was
to design a system that had minimal intrusion
into the classroom while providing effective
cooling.
We specified
and installed one FUJITSU AUY-25E ceiling
cassette that produces 7.10kW of cooling
capacity.
The
installation was completed in less than four
hours. With an early start we caused minimal
disruption to the school day.
